Department of Information Technology received “Best Academic Department Award “ on Teacher’s day celebration held on 5th September 2023.
Buvana Chandran of IT Department of Sri Sairam Engineering College has received the “STARS OF MAATRAM” award for excelling in academics, co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
She has got a CGPA of 9.35 and has reached the “Best contributor award” from UBA and she has also Completed over 10 internships.
Apart from this she has also received the funding from SIGHT IEEE and IEEE EPICS for the projects “Hygiene Hydro” and “IoT based Smart Assistance cane for visually challenged.”
The department of information technology is very proud to convey to you all this great piece of news. Our student from II year IT A Mr Vignesh L had participated in the IEEE GLOBAL VIDEO CHALLENGE organized by the computer society and won the first prize $1000 USD with Mentor Q & A.

Have participated in the 36 hour hackathon ‘CentuRITon’ conducted by M.S.Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore and won under the (AR/VR and IoT) from 25.11.2022 to 27.11.2022 and won Rs.25,000 for their project which has made a jaw dropping performance before the audience.

Happy to inform that one of our student C.Deepak kumar from III Yr IT has received a sum of Rs.50k from the Govt of Tamilnadu for winning a Bronze medal in the 65th SGFI National Target ball Championship held at Rajasthan U-19, senior category.
SSEC IEEE Computer Society SBC feels ecstatic to announce that *Mr. Niranjan Kumar S* and *Ms. Swathi Kannan* of Final year IT have bagged the prestigeous *Richard E-Mervin Scholarship* with *1000 USD* grant for Spring 2022.

Also our institution is recognised and honoured by CISCO networking academy for the valuable contribution towards the virtual internship program .
We are happy to share that Our college is in Top 2 position in the UiPath RPA Skillathon 2021 in association with ICTAcademy and the SPOC Dr.S.Sankari/IT received appreciation from UiPath in coordinating these event and its happened because of support from the all Department coordinators.
The 2021 RPA Skillathon saw 50,000+ educators and students from 300+ partner institutions participate and 44,000+ completing the Step into RPA course on UiPath Academy. The event helped raise awareness on Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technology, skills needed and career opportunities available.
Dr. M. Suresh kumar has been recognised as CISCO Netacad STAR Performer and Best Performing Instructor for PILOT VIRTUAL INSTRUCTOR TRAINING PROGRAM conducted during COVID period. Also he has received Amazon Gift Voucher for Rs.2500/-.

We have been awarded as Best academy partner towards empowering students with Cisco networking academy in all India level in terms of students training, internship and placement with high package.We have established that we are being “The Best” as usual!!!
The most enduring part is that our alumnis and the students of the current batch who are currently working and getting trained as interns in Cisco United and we had no immense pleasure than meeting our students, making their achievements as our own!!
