Students achieve excellent and progressive academic results year on year; each academic periods witness decisive performance and results in the consecutive university exams. At Sairam, we believe that discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment, in that way we are consistently able to achieve victory every year. We are proud that the department of IT has bagged 3 Gold Medals (UG-2, PG-1) and 85 University Ranks since inception. The dedication of our Faculty and the keen interest exhibited by our students has produced a commendable academic record with university ranks every year including GOLD MEDAL.
Every year the latest developments in the field of information technology are witnessed by Sairam Team which bags the opportunities for participation and winning. The department’s Symposium committee named “SaiTechcellence” is working actively in organizing national level symposium every year. The department has been a key player and a pivotal point in holding the prestigious membership of the ISTE student chapter (highest number of student participants in Tamil Nadu). Every year the department organizes “Sai Tech Grail“, an innovative student project exhibition in Association with reputed MNC’s, which has live project demonstration by students from other college.
The department has also received Academic Excellence Award for the years 2003, 2005, 2008, 2016. The department had bagged the Best Industry linked institution award in the prestigious AICTE-CII Survey of Industry-linked technical institutions 2017. The award is based on a survey done across AICTE approved technical institutions of the country with the objective to showcase the best practices. The Department has been awarded “Innovative & Effective Teaching Learning Practices 2017” by Society for Educational and Entrepreneurship Development (SEED).

The department of IT has taken pioneering initiatives for improving the technical acumen of students by organizing International and National conference. Students are made to embolden future technology and master the art of computing by encouraging them to think futuristic by catalyzing Research and Research related activities through the Research and Development cell.
As a result of the department’s students activities, numerous students from the Department of Information Technology have placed their foot prints in numerous International and National forums, Seminars, Exhibitions, Project Expos, Workshops, Guest Lectures, and training programs with the help of engineers and academicians of national and international repute.
