To Emerge as a “Centre of Excellence in the field of IT” offering Technological Education and Research opportunities of high standards to students, develop high degree of digital knowledge and skillset, making our students technologically superior and ethically strong, who in turn shall contribute to the advancement of society and humankind.
The Department has spacious classrooms, air-conditioned seminar halls, and a well-equipped laboratory. It has three dedicated fully air-conditioned computer lab with 300 systems, all in a networked environment with un-interrupted power supply. These systems have the most updated software and they run on various platforms such as Windows, Linux, Sun. The department offers free high-speed Internet facility through 1 STM TATA – 155Mbps RF connectivity. The department has a dedicated server for E-mail, File Backup, DNS, DBMS and Linux. The lab is equipped with four 10KVA UPS and375KVA DG set as a standby. A Fortigate Firewall provides security for the system.
Faculties at our institution strive to disseminate knowledge in students through eminent and fundamental practices. The teaching methodologies impart essential skills in students to create competent Engineers and Technocrats. Our experienced faculty members create an ambiance conducive to technical education. Highly qualified distinguished mentors deliver knowledge of diverse specialization in learners through engaging teaching techniques. Academics sessions are facilitated with valuable cognitive enhancement activities enriching overall educational experience.
The department presently has a dedicated team of faculties with a minimum experience of 4 years and supporting staffs well-qualified with diverse specialization. We are proud of our faculty members who have their publications in journals that are indexed by Google scholar, Scopus, Web of Science etc. Our staff members have actively involved themselves in Research activities and their experience carves students interest to mould their technical knowledge in various fields.
The Department of Information Technology starting from the year 1999 with an admission of 44 students has now heightened to a sterling input of 180 students. The Department is supported by staunch and steadfast squad of 37 faculty. For the students to be au courant of the newest technologies and the developments occurring in the field of information technology, the department takes the utmost and due concern by marshalling Guest lectures, seminars, workshops and training programs with the aid of “The Best” engineers and academicians from national and international reputes.
Our department students have been performing excellently in curricular and co-curricular activities, The student’s candid and decisive results in university exams, various state, and National and International awards acknowledges this fact. Our department has taken pioneering initiatives for improving the technical acumen of our students by organizing International and National conference.
