The Cisco networking academy offers CCNA certification course within the college campus. Network certification will be an added advantage for the students, as knowledge about network management is mandatory in today’s interconnected World. The course is offered as two modules, the details of which are given as below:

Module-1: CCNA R&S: Introduction to Networks (Ver 6.0)

Course Overview

CCNA R&S: Introduction to Networks (ITN) covers networking architecture, structure, and functions. The course introduces the principles and structure of IP addressing and the fundamentals of Ethernet concepts, media, and operations to provide a foundation for the curriculum.

By the end of the course, students will be able to:

• Explain network technologies.
• Explain how devices access local and remote network resources.
• Describe router hardware.
• Explain how switching operates in a small to medium-sized business network.
• Design an IP addressing scheme to provide network connectivity for a small to medium-sized business network.
• Configure initial settings on a network device.
• Implement basic network connectivity between devices.
• Configure monitoring tools available for small to medium-sized business networks.

The 70-hour, instructor-led course is the 1st of 4 courses in the Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching curriculum. The course includes activities using Packet Tracer, hands-on lab work, and a wide array of assessment types and tools.

Module-2: CCNA R&S: Routing and Switching Essentials

Course Overview

CCNA R&S: Routing and Switching Essentials (RSE) covers the architecture, components, and operations of routers and switches in a small network. Students learn how to configure a router and a switch for basic functionality. By the end of the course, students will be able to:

• Determine how a router will forward traffic based on the contents of a routing table.
• Explain how switching operates in a small to medium-sized business network.
• Use monitoring tools and network management protocols to troubleshoot data networks.
• Configure monitoring tools available for small to medium-sized business networks.
• Configure initial settings on a network device.
• Configure Ethernet switch ports.
• Implement VLANs.
• Implement static routing.
• Implement DHCP on a router.
• Implement network address translation (NAT).
• Implement access control lists (ACLs) to filter traffic.

As an AWS Academy the Institution has a mission to train the students on AWS and create trained professionals on AWS Cloud Solutions Architect Associate. This is one of the prominent certificate course provided by AWS.

The Departments of ECE, EIE, EEE & ICE through the Texas Instruments University Program established the TI Innovation Lab on 12.11.2018 by signing MOU with M/s. Digital Shark Technology Pvt .Ltd, Bangalore (authorized partner for Texas instruments (India) university programme ). The first Workshop on “Rapid Prototyping-IoT and Embedded System Design” was conducted from 12.11.2018 to 14.11.2018 at Hands –on training center.

Automation Anywhere Emerging Cutting Edge Technology

A Centre of Excellence has been inaugurated in the latest cutting edge technology “Automation Anywhere “ in the Sri Sairam Engineering CollegeCampus Chennai-600044 on 15-02-2019 in association with Automation anywhere-USA & Tata consultancy services – India and this BOT Lab is first of its kind in India

This BOT Lab complete exclusive set up including the Software is worth about more than two Crores in the college will be used by the students placed in TCS through Campus hiring with proper training and will be getting a chance to work in live projects . This exclusive facility is thrown open to all pre final students also to get trained and certified before campus hiring and enhance their skill sets in Cutting edge technology the “Automation Anywhere”.

This BOT Lab is dedicated to all students to get a certification in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) This RPA certification helps students to position them in Domain Specific Hiring by leading organisation with higher compensation package. Recent studies indicate that there is a huge demand for graduates having RPA certification with lucrative salary.

Their mission is to build a workforce proficient in next-generation media communication technologies, while also providing a platform for research and innovation in scalable, cost-effective solutions across diverse domains.

Through this collaboration, several impactful initiatives have been rolled out, aimed at equipping both faculty and students with practical knowledge and future-ready skills in Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Mixed Reality (MR). A strong emphasis is placed on the use of Unreal Engine, a leading tool in immersive technology development.

Key activities conducted under this MoU include:

• Faculty Development Programs focused on AR/VR applications and research.
• Hands-on workshops on Unreal Engine for students and staff.
• Industrial training and internships offering real-world exposure.
• Explorative lab visits to Monolith Academy and immersive labs.
• Expert talks and professional development sessions to enhance career readiness.
