Department of Information Technology in association with ISTE conducted a five days FDP on “CyberSecurity Techniques and Tools” from 15/6/2020 to 19/6/2020. It started with the brainstroming inaugural address by Dr. B. Muthukumaran, Global Delivery Head, Cyber Security ,HTC-ITMR on 15/6/2020. It was followed by a session on Risk Management Techniques, by Ms.Escalin Fernando, Research Developer, HTC-ITMR . On 16/6/2020, Mr. Ganesh, Principal Engineer, CDAC took a session on “Security Information and Event Management”. Mr. Solai, Principal Engineer, CDAC added some more value to the session. The 3rd day session was on Data Science and CEP for Cyber Security by Mr. Imthyaz Sheriff C, Director, Ideassion Technology Solutions. The 4th and 5th days hands on session on NMAP and Metasploit tools by Mr.Gopalsamy Rajendran, Securight Pvt Ltd .The last session was on Webappliction security by Dr. ShanmugaNeethi, Associate Professor & Head In-Charge, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, NITTTR, Chennai. Around 300 participants across the globe participated in this zoom hosted FDP.
