“A seminar on the ‘Global Research Force Centre of Excellence (COE) Inauguration’ will be held on 24th July 2024 at Sri Sairam Techno Incubator Foundation Auditorium from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This seminar aims to introduce the new Centre of Excellence, highlighting its role in fostering global research collaborations, innovation, and providing advanced resources to support cutting-edge research initiatives.”
Dr. Mithileysh Sathiyanarayanan and Ms. Bhuvaneshwari, scientists from MIT SQUARE, were the resource persons.An MOU was signed during the event for the benefit of our students.
The event aimed to motivate students to explore foreign countries for academic and professional growth.
Sri Sairam Engineering College’s Department of Information Technology is hosting an Entrepreneur’s Day event. It will be held on 5th November 2024 at 9:30 AM in SSR Hall. The event celebrates and promotes entrepreneurship among students. Several alumni entrepreneurs will share their valuable startup experiences and insights. Key speakers include Mr. Yogees Kumar, Mr. Raj Mohan, Ms. Brindha Jayaram, Ms. Padmavathy, and Mr. Suman. Other notable speakers are Mr. P. Suganth, Mr. R. Prabhu, Mr. R. Balaji, Ms. Subadeepa Shanu, and Ms. B. Divya. The event aims to inspire and guide aspiring student entrepreneurs with real-world knowledge.
The Department of Information Technology proudly hosted an innovative event titled “AI By Students for the Future: Designing Innovative Products at Sairam” on 28th August 2024. This program showcased the creativity and technical skills of our students as they designed cutting-edge AI-based products aimed at solving real-world problems.
We are proud to have Dr. C. Rene Robin, an expert in computer science and dean of innovation, to guide us through this journey. Together, we aim to cultivate a culture of creativity, experimentation, and excellence in AI at Sri Sai Ram Engineering College.
Five days workshop in association with the Sairam Techno Incubator Foundation on website and mobile application development!
This event is for a selected group of students and will run from 29th July 2024 to 2nd August 2024, daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Incubation Centre Auditorium.
The M-APPS Workshop on Web & Mobile App Development was designed to provide participants with practical and theoretical knowledge in the field of app development. This intensive workshop spanned five days and was attended by a total of 56 participants from two institutions.
The Department of Information Technology at Sri Sairam Engineering College conducted an Industry Aligned Skill Development Training Program on 12th July 2024 in the CC3 and CC4 labs via virtual mode.
The program features hands-on sessions with emerging technologies and tools, interactive virtual labs for real-time practice, demonstrations and case studies by industry experts, as well as skill assessments and feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
The Department of Information Technology, Sri Sairam Engineering College organized an International Seminar on “Technical Opportunities” on 29th July 2024, Monday, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Sri Sairam Techno Incubator Foundation.
The event featured Prof. Daniel Chandran, a renowned academician from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia as the guest speaker.He shared his expertise on international research, innovation, and the growing need for multidisciplinary knowledge in the IT sector.
The session emphasized the importance of technical adaptability, global exposure, and problem-solving skills.Prof. Daniel encouraged students to pursue global internships and higher education opportunities abroad. With active student participation and faculty involvement, the seminar achieved its goal of international knowledge transfer.The session was coordinated efficiently by Ms. K. Neela under the guidance of Dr. T. Sheela, HoD – IT.The Principal Dr. J. Raja and Chairman & CEO Dr. Sai Prakash Leo Muthu supported the initiative wholeheartedly.
The Department of Information Technology, Sri Sairam Engineering College organized an“ORIENTATION PROGRAM”on 28th July 2024, Monday, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Sri Sairam Engineering at SSR HALL.
Second Year Orientation is to help students transition smoothly into their second year of engineering by providing them with academic guidance, industry insights, and motivational support. It aims to familiarize students with the expectations of the upcoming curriculum, enhance their awareness about career opportunities, and inspire them to develop a positive attitude towards learning and professional growth.
The Department of Information Technology at Sri Sairam Engineering College, Chennai, organized an event titled “Artificial Intelligence in Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0)” on 3rd February 2025. The event took place from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Smart Classroom – II, West Tambaram campus. It was an international seminar that brought together students, faculty, and industry experts. The seminar focused on the evolution of industrial revolutions from Industry 1.0 to Industry 4.0. It highlighted the shift from mechanization and electricity to automation and artificial intelligence. Attendees learned how AI is transforming industries around the world. The seminar emphasized the role of knowledge and wisdom in technological advancements. It provided valuable insights into the impact of AI in the current industrial revolution. The event encouraged learning, innovation, and collaboration among participants. The Department of Information Technology aims to continue organizing such events to connect academia and industry.
The Department of Information Technology, along with Sri Sairam Techno Incubator Foundation, organized Innovation 360 on September 10, 2024. The event was held at Sri Sairam Engineering College and led by the MAPPS Club. It aimed to promote innovation, research, and technology among students and faculty. The day started with an inaugural ceremony, Tamil Thaai Vaazhthu, and the lighting of the kuthuvilakku. Dr. T. Sheela, Dean (Networking), gave the welcome address, followed by the principal, Dr. J. Raja. Industry leaders like Mr. K. Naresh Raj and Dr. C.R. Rene Robin delivered keynote speeches on new trends and technology. Mr. Senthilkumar Rajendran gave a seminar on non-invasive blood sugar detection methods. He explained new technologies that avoid the need for finger-prick tests.
The Department of Information Technology at Sri Sairam Engineering College is organizing a session on “Build Your Career in Cybersecurity” on 13th February 2025 at SmartClass 1, featuring cybersecurity expert Mr. Umair Ahmed Khan, Cybersecurity Instructor at Cyberheals Infotech Pvt. Ltd., as the guest speaker. A seminar on cybersecurity for college students was conducted on 13th February 2025 to raise awareness about the growing threats in the digital world and to equip students with essential knowledge on future opportunity in the field. The seminar featured expert speaker and interactive sessions focusing on real-world cybersecurity challenges.
Department of Information Technology has organised an event “MOTIVATION AND INNOVATION IN ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEY” on 23.02.2024 @SSR Hall.
It was a captivating journey with Ms. Sridevi Arunachalam, Founder of IIEC and the Indo-UAE Economic Chamber of Commerce, as she unveiled her innovative project designs at our event! During the 3-hour session, she shared valuable insights on developing new business ideas and plans aimed at generating profits, supporting communities, and aligning with company goals.
Ms. Sridevi also provided detailed information about online certifications, encouraging students to take the next steps in their learning journeys. The session inspired students to further explore certifications and enhance their skills for future endeavors.
On 5th November 2024, Department of Information Technology hosted an inspiring Entrepreneur’s Day Event for second and third year students, featuring talks by four of our esteemed alumni who shared valuable insights into the world of startups and entrepreneurship:
1. Mr. Yogees Kumar – Founder, OneYes Startup
Mr. Yogees Kumar discussed his journey of founding OneYes and emphasized the importance of innovation and resilience in the startup world. His journey demonstrated the impact of staying committed to one’s vision.
2. Mr. Balaji Rajendran – Founder & CEO, Softrate
Mr. Balaji shared his experiences in the tech industry, providing us with practical advice on leadership, team-building, and the challenges involved in managing a successful tech startup like Softrate.
3. Ms. Shubhadeepa Sahu – Co-founder & Managing Partner, Wealth Empires
Ms. Shubhadeepa Sahu highlighted the significance of financial literacy for entrepreneurs and elaborated on how Wealth Empires supports clients in wealth creation and management. Her talk was particularly insightful for those interested in finance-driven ventures.
4. Mr. R. Prabhu – Founder, 10004u
Mr. Prabhu discussed the importance of strong technical skills for entrepreneurs in tech-focused startups. He emphasized the need for staying updated with the latest technologies and understanding core technical concepts to create innovative, impactful solutions. His emphasis on continuous learning in tech was inspiring for all.
Overall, the session was enlightening, giving us a comprehensive view of what it takes to start and sustain a successful venture. Each speaker left us with valuable takeaways about perseverance, technical expertise, teamwork, and vision in entrepreneurship.
Sri Sai Ram Engineering College hosted a certificate course on Artificial Intelligence, initiated by CSR, Centre for Women Empowerment Program, Powered by Honeywell in association with IctAcademy from 9th August to 12th September 2023. Around 62 girls from the Department of AIDS, CSE, ECE, EEE,EIE, ICE & IT who have successfully completed the Certificate course.

The Department of Information Technology, in collaboration with One yes Infotech Solutions, organized the Startup’s Campus Connect SCC 2024 event on 5/4/2024. This gathering facilitated a direct link between students and leading technical companies, offering them exclusive internship and job prospects. The event seamlessly integrated three programs – Interns mela, Investors meet, and Startup fest – to provide a comprehensive platform for networking and exploration of opportunities.

Several international audience along with renowned speakers from NITTR were present in the campus on behalf of commencement of the seminar. Several Valuable insights about the E-learning technologies were shared.
Department of Information Technology conducted a seminar Life skills and social Entrepreneurship on 13.03.23. Mr. Satish Raj is an Entrepreneur, trainer and an excellent motivational speaker. He shared his valuable insights in the field of entrepreneurship and personal skill development. He gave a clear explanation about the life of an entrepreneur. He explained the importance of self development and other value added information which helps an individual to enrich his skills. He also picked student volunteers and the interaction between them made the event cheerful. He patiently answered all the queries of the student. As a whole it was an eye opener session for all the students to develop themselves.
The Department of Information Technology successfully conducted a workshop on “Current Trends in IT industry and Startups-2022”, on 26th August 2022.
The remarkable speaker of the seminar Mr. Gajendran Ganesapandian, senior member of technical staff , paypal india private limited, Chennai has given the interactive session on the industry trends and start-ups was so persuasive. And he patiently answered all the queries of the students.
On 6th of February, 2023, in Alpha hall of Sri Sairam Engineering College , a seminar on “Gender Equality” was conducted.
On this day, Ms.Krishnaveni Nagarajan, Vice President Risk-control, RBS, Coach, Founder of Beschool, gave us a mind opening cum interactive session on gender equality.

This seminar kick-started at 9.15AM. Dr. Adilline Macriga,Professor, Sri Sairam Engineering college, greeted the audience with her splendid words.

The remarkable speaker of the seminar was R. Vijay, Pega Practice Head, Chennai, Capgemini. The interactive session on the industry incubation program was so persuasive. Meanwhile, he patiently answered all the queries of the students. Eventually, Arathi, the Coordinator of this seminar, furnished the conclusion and wrapped up this seminar joyfully.
On the whole, the session was fruitful to the student fraternity who have wide interest in higher education.
The Seminar has been organized by the Department of Information Technology inAssociation with Imarticus Learning on 10.05.22.Mr.Thirumoorthy Maheswaran, Career Guidance Speaker ,Imarticus Learning was the keynote speaker.
He explained various career opportunities in data science filed,he gave real time examples and how opportunities changed many personslife.He listed the companies who provide jobs in Data Science and how a student should enhance his/her knowledge in Data Science.He explained how Data Science made a lot of impact in real time applications.
